Cochran Housing Authority is seeking an experienced public housing administrator or Executive Director to oversee and direct a small public-housing agency located in Cochran, Georgia, having 115 RAD-converted housing units (Section 8 – HCV). The Executive Director supervises between 3 to 5 employees, and qualifying applicants should have a four-year college degree and experience in the area of landlord-tenant and fair housing laws. The position reports to a Board of Commissioners, and the position would require relocation to Cochran (Bleckley County), Georgia within a reasonable time. Decatur Housing Authority (DHA), Georgia is seeking an experienced full time Portability Specialist This is responsible technical work in all phases of the operation of the Housing Choice Voucher program. This position is responsible for accurately receiving and processing incoming portability requests, submitting billing to the initial public housing authority, performing annual and interim certifications, maintaining tenant files for portability caseload, negotiating, and preparing HAP contracts conducting briefings. The Portability Housing Specialist is also responsible for more than one specialized function/duty in addition to the regular duties of a Housing Specialist.
